Mathematics Example

Standard deviation =\frac{ \sqrt{\Sigma_{i = 1}^{n}(x_{i} - \bar{x})^{2}}}{n}

where \bar{x} = Σi = 1, … , n xi/n

The first formula was created entirely in LATEX, the second using HTML.

The syntax of LaTeX is rather complicated, but a useful tool is the Online LaTeX Equation Editor.
